From Data to Dialogue: Public Square on NTV Uganda

Our hashtag#KampalaBreathes campaign was featured on NTV Uganda's 9 pm news! This segment is a monumental step in our mission to bring the air quality crisis out of academic reports and into the public conversation.

The report highlighted the sobering data we have been collecting:

1. The shocking reality that Kampala's air is among the most polluted in the world.

2. The serious health implications, with a recent study linking almost 1 in 5 non-accidental premature adult deaths in Kampala to long-term PM2.5 exposure.

For a few months, our team, has been on the ground, using citizen science to gather the data that exposes this hidden threat. This feature on NTV is a testament to the power of our community and the undeniable impact of evidence-based advocacy. It proves that citizen-led data can, and will, force a national dialogue and demand real action from our leaders.

This is a win for every person who wants to see a healthier, cleaner future for our city.
