Tony is an oncology pharmacist who at 27 years founded, Guardian Health, now Uganda's largest pharmacy chain. He sold the business in 2023, one of a few Ugandan million-dollar private equity exits..

Tony is a campaigner for good governance & inclusive growth, and passionate about creating a business world that works for all, especially SMEs & startups.

Dicta Asiimwe is a journalist and writer based in Uganda. Her byline has appeared in several publications including The Independent Magazine, The EastAfrican Newspaper, Timescape magazine and Daily Monitor, where she briefly edited the weekend magazines.

 

Awards have been from reporting infrastructure, politics, education, health and disaster risk reduction.​​

Herbert Abaho brings extensive expertise in Research, Civic Engagement, Business & Human Rights, and Project Management. At The Public Square, he leads impactful initiatives that drive civic participation and policy influence.

 

Previously, Herbert championed policy change in Business & Human Rights and successfully managed complex projects within Uganda’s Oil & Gas Industry.
